“Theories of Legislative Politics and Committee Action in the Postwar U.S. House of Representatives” in Journal of Theoretical Politics (Forthcoming)

I study the nature of the interaction between the economy and U.S. government and politics.  This includes exploring how businesses exert influence on Congress and the executive branch, and how economic policy influences voter preferences for political candidates.  I have also written on how the internal structure of Congress influences the laws that are passed.
