"Scrapper" woodworking shop

How We Do it: We take scrap building materials, wood, windows, doors, and make them available to the community.  Occasionally (depending on time & workload of the crew) students can come down and request a table/ book shelf for their dorm room and the recycling crew will build it for them. Our recycling crew denails wood and makes it reusable, saving unnecessary wood waste from the landfill.

Why We Do it: This reduces the waste of perfectly re-usable windows, doors and wood that would otherwise be sent to a landfill.

How You Can Do it: If you have a construction business or find yourself with a lot of re-usable windows, doors, etc, you can search for a drop off point.  Habitat for Humanity and other Architectural Salvage shops can sometimes take these items.
