Organic Fertilizers

Why We Do It: high organic content, deals with waste problem, not petroleum based

How We Do It: In order to enhance one of our natural resource base we use composted poultry waste, which has an NPK ratio of 4:2:3 and is 75% water insoluble. Composted poultry waste is high in organic material and is cost-effective when bought in significant quantity. It is important to compost the fertilizer, because initially the poultry waste is very high in nitrogen content and can shock the soil. Our poultry fertilizer is obtained from Perdue Agricycle, which is based from the Delmarva Peninsula. The cost is $175/ton, delivered

Where to Get It: Again we buy our fertilizer in bulk from Perdue Agricycle. If your project requires less fertilizer, organic options are widely available and can usually be found at a variety of home improvement stores.
